Shain Park, the city's main commons, is the site of the Village Fair, art shows, summer music concerts and numerous community events.

Fun Fact:  In 181 the original settlers of Birmingham were quite optimistic and envisioned a large manufacturing city, and thus the city was named after Birmingham England, which was England biggest industrial center.
