Although rather small in geographic terms, Bloomfield Village continues to be one of the most coveted places to live and it's residential real estate values often out perform other areas within Oakland county.  Walkable neighborhoods span throughout the tree lined winding sidewalks and majestic streets of Bloomfield Village.  To maintain and enhance the character of Bloomfield Village, all properties are governed by Deed Restrictions.  This is to ensure that Bloomfield Village remains a uniquely desirable neighborhood with stable property values.  Homes within Bloomfield Village are distinguished by open lawns and the use of plantings for privacy in order to create a community of pleasant vistas, undisturbed by extraneous or incompatible structures that might detract from the natural, rural-like setting of Bloomfield Village.

Founded in 1924, Bloomfield Village covers an area of approximately one square mile from Quarton Road on the north to Maple Road on the south and from Lahser Road on the west to the City of Birmingham on the east. There are nearly 1,000 homes in the Village.

Area residents formed the Bloomfield Village Protective Association in April of 1942 and on May 11, 1966, the name was changed to Bloomfield Village Association at which time the Association also assumed responsibility for the enforcement of the recorded Building and Use Restrictions and administration of the Maintenance Fund.

As a Bloomfield Village residents are automatically a member of the Bloomfield Village Association, which is administered by its Board of Trustees. Residents are therefore entitled to all its benefits and bound by its covenants, found in the restriction agreement for the subdivision.   Bloomfield Village has a vibrant Social Club and Village Garden Club.

Fun Fact:  Residents of Bloomfield Village actually live in Bloomfield Township, are part of the Birmingham public school district, and have a Bloomfield Hills mailing address.
