Franklin Community Park includes tennis courts, a large gazebo, walking paths and baseball and softball fields.  The Franklin Garden Club is a diverse group of local gardeners – old, young, historically women – who gather monthly, to enhance their knowledge and experience in a variety of experiences guided by the grace and fickleness of Mother Nature.  The Franklin Historical Society is dedicated to preserving Franklin’s unique heritage as well as present Franklin's history to the community.

Founded in 1825 and named after Benjamin Franklin, historic Franklin Village is a one of a kind experience, where small independently owned shop keepers in turn of the century buildings will often greet you by name. Where traditions are cherished and newcomers welcomed. Where time honored Franklin Village events bring businesses and residents together strengthening and growing the quaint, historic and future focused Franklin Village.
